Wonder Woman :cloud9:

Votes for Linda Carter don't count :sumo:

We are talking about the comic book version here

Can someone explain why there have been no Wonder Woman movies? :frustrated:

And yet we have already had movies about Catwoman and Elektra?

Can you quickly name a Wonder Woman Arch Enemy? Most non-DC fans can't.

Many of the people who went to see the Spiderman movies could not name a Spiderman villian either, so I don't think that matters.

Wonder Woman has more name recognition with the general public than ANY character other than Superman, Batman, and maybe Spiderman.

She has more name recognition with non-comic people than Wolverine, or Daredevil, or Punisher, or Hulk, or FF, or Iron Man, or any of the other characters than got movies.

What happened to the concept of "sex sells"?

A Wonder Woman movie could easily do $200 million box office. Guys will go see it to see a hot chick in tight shorts, and women will go see it for the whole "girl power" thing.

The movie execs are fools for not doing a Wonder Woman movie 10 years ago.

Hands down.

GL = number four :sumo:

Yeah but which one? hm

Aren't there about 1000 GL's running around in the DC universe?

Hal Jordan is the one true Green Lantern.

Old geezers who were kids in 1941 might disagree hm

I'd put ranking this way:

Superman/Batman

Wonder Woman

Flash/Green Lantern

Spectre/Hawkman/Atom

Martian Manhunter

Green Arrow

Zatana/Black Canary

Metal Men/Teen Titans/Doom Patrol

Aquaman

No love for THE ATOM?

I always thought DEADMAN was cool, probably because Adams drew all the early issues except the first one

And SANDMAN was pretty big in the golden age I think

PHANTOM STRANGER and CREEPER were kinda cool

Aquaman is too low.

People know him from JLA.

If we are going to allow in teams, how about the Challengers of the Unknown? The first twelve issues (counting Showcase appearances) by Kirby were good in their own right and, as Overstreet notes, they were first Silver Age team and the first new characters in the Silver Age. They also had an influence on Lee and Kirby's formulating the Fantastic Four. Of course, they weren't actually super heroes ....

WW #3 and after that it is a brisk slide down a spiral to nowhere :P

SWAMP THING was great ........... but not really a superhero

The first 10 issues with Wrightson art are amazing books, not just the art, the stories were great too

And the Alan Moore run was spectacular
