Who's got the best November Auction?

49 posts in this topic

Heritage has the edge in GA & OA, CLink has the edge in SA (I don't follow BA/CA/Modern so I didn't figure them into the equation). I'm watching HA,Clink and Qualitycomix because they all have books I'm interested in.

I think it depends on what you collect. If Golden Age is your thing, then Heritage is the clear winner in November.

No doubt. Not to mention OA.

I also think ComicLinks SA selection is great (again), but Heritage seems to have enough SA material that overall it puts their total auction selection ahead of ComicLinks for me.

Everyone's got a November Auction it seems. Who's the best?

Is it - Heritage > ComicLink > Pedigree > ComicConnect > QualityComix?

Where would the Mound City Auction have ranked?

I would still place Mound City above Clink for SA books based on the quality and depth of selection for both Marvel and DC. The Clink auction has more copies of key issues available, but Mound City still beat them grade wise on a lot of the big ones (AF #15 8.0, X-Men #1 9.4, Avengers #1 9.4, SC #22 8.0) and had nice HG runs of most SA titles.

comicconnect's auction is pretty weak. Admittedly, I haven't looked through the whole thing, but that's in part because I made it through several hundred lots without seeing anything worthwhile. The Captain America 100 in 7.0 trimmed was surprising. That's what constitutes an "Event" auction?

What has Zurzolo been doing? Maybe he is about to unleash the mother of all collections next week?

Slight resto. Could be a bargain if the PLOD-haters stay away.

It's not listed here, but the Larson Action #32 that was recently listed is a very cool book. (thumbs u

Just a little better than a trimmed Cap 100.
