What's the best comic add ever

"...the most exciting thing ever invented for party gags. You're bound to find hundreds of exciting and unusual uses for me."

I have a feeling that the juxtaposition of "gag" and "bound" was intentional.

I also like the "burgular (sic) deterrent" line. So you can rationalize your purchase. "Really, I bought it to ward off criminals."

And what's with the "Give your daughter a Judy Doll..."??? Especially one dressed in pajamas and bikini.

who has the ad with the shirtless guy that was buying action 1, etc in the 70's...totatly drawing a blank on his name (shrug)

It's that wanker Theo Holstein, but I think it was an ad in Overstreet not a comic book.

I have it somewhere but too lazy to get it out.

bingo...I remember the ad, didn't know if it was in a comic or not (thumbs u

"He's looking for people who like to draw"

Actually from the look of him he looked like he was looking for people to interfere with!

Please,

It's Norman Rockwell. An American illustrative icon and the furthest thing from any sort of deviancy I could imagine.

Here's the advertisement in question.

^^

My favorite line from the Wikipedia entry:

"Keehan (Dante) also worked as a hairdresser and had reportedly worked on some of the hair designs for Playboy models of the time."

lol

There is a lot of information on the internet about "Count Dante"/John Keehan and it's pretty damn entertaining. It read like the -script to a bad 70s kung fu movie... guns, drugs, fighting, porn, gang fights... it's all in there. Kind of makes me wish I was a fly on the wall in the 60s-70s Chicago martial arts scene.
