Sanj Mitra
Comic went for over $2800 which is a strong price for the book. I took a stab but would not have gone that high. Congrats if it was a boardie.

ciorac
2800.00 seems like a big gamble. As long as it isn't restored, it shouldn't be much of a gamble That price is what 3.5s have been selling for

Flash105
OK, does it bug anyone that we have to endure 20-30 days of waiting until the final day of real bidding occurs on these auctions. I get worked up into a lather with all this waiting. But I guess that is the point. Edited February 6, 2011 by Flash105

As long as it isn't restored, it shouldn't be much of a gamble That price is what 3.5s have been selling for Last month, in comic link, Two 4.5 sold for around 2800$ . . . and if I recall correctly, they sold pretty quickly. I think there might have been more money to be made if those had been around longer. If there's no restoration on that SC #4, it looks like a 3.5 at least. possibly a 4.0 if the spine is better than it appears in the photos. They are a little blurry to be sure. But IMHO it's possible both buyer and seller did ok @ $2800.

showcase22gr1959
Last month, the last SC4 3.5 sold on CL for $2300,. Based on that sale and the few 4.5s, for $2800.00 the buyer better hope for a 4.0. All and all, the book at $2800 (if 4.0) is full FMV or at least for now. With more recent data sales, there would be a more accurate FMV. Edited February 7, 2011 by showcase22gr1959

The market is usually made, or not made, by two bidders. Absent two motivated bidders and you get the CL results. Having two motivated bidders, you get last month's sale. Heck, the pre-Robin Tec market exploded at the hands of literally a handful of collectors. Our market is just that fickle

Many sales go undocumented on GPA and prices may be higher in certain area and lower in some. The $2800 price for the raw copy, could be one hoping for a 4.5+. I would wait a bit more to find a trend for SC4, but it's not down for sure.
Flash105
Well the 7.5 on ebay only sold for 12,601 in Nov. and that was a real nice copy. I think it had OW pages as well and was well centered. I thought it was a bargain. I had a snipe bid that did not get in.

Flash105
Certainly more on CL, probably not much more on Ebay. He needs to wait a year, for me to be ready.
