So, did the book really sell for $20k? The listing shows as ended.

(shrug) He relisted the book a few days ago:

I saw that, but this one ended saying Best Offer at $20k? I wonder if he's been charged FVF's, lol?

folks, it clearly states

This listing has ended. The seller has relisted this item

we know the book was relisted and it didn't sell... probably just an "error" on theo's part closing the auction out... and I am sure if the fees were of any significance (could have been that $20 max deal), then they will file to get them credited... that would be my "assumption" (thumbs u

Funny thing is the back cover may have survived as a separate item, but if so it may well have been attached already to another Superman 1

If the seller is Theo and if the first issue of Superman is his favorite book, you would think he would be aware it is a no number issue, but the seller states in a posted answer "IT needs to say Vol 1 number 1 1939 to be the first issue of SUPERMAN"

Has anyone really verified the auction to be legit?

If that was in reply to my question, someone posted that link last week in this thread, and in fact seeing the seller reply about 'Vol 1 number 1' and have already read the scoop article is what raised the red flag that prompted my question about if anyone has actually verified the auction to be legit.
