With the arrival of this copy of Tales to Astonish #36, I have completed my goal of owning the first ten issues of all the early Marvel Silver Age titles.

I currently own:
Amazing Spider-Man #1 - #400 (plus Amazing Fantasy #15 and Annual #1 - #5)
Avengers #1 - #16 (all CGC 6.0 or higher, except for issue #1 - CGC 5.5)
Daredevil #1 - #200 (#1 - #10 in CGC 6.0 or higher)
Fantastic Four #1 - #300 (plus Annuals #1 - #6)
Incredible Hulk #1 - #6
Journey into Mystery #83 - #92 (plus issues #103, #109, #112, #114, and Annual #1)
Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #1 - #10
Strange Tales #101 - #110 (plus issues #89, #114, #115, #135, and Annual #2)
Tales of Suspense #39 - #50 (plus issues #52 and #57)
Tales to Astonish #27, #35 - #44 (plus issues #57 and #59)
X-Men #1 - #16 (all in CGC 6.0 or higher, except for issue #1 - CGC 3.0)

I started this project sometime in 2022 (I honestly don't remember when), and it was my goal to finish this before 2024. I don't mean to brag, but I consider this a tremendous accomplishment.

That's an absolutely amazing accomplishment - congratulations!!

Awesome awesome awesome 💯

I'm curious if they will all become slabs? Or if raw is your preference?

I hope you keep on collecting, but quite the accomplishment! ^^

Congratulations on this major milestone!  What's next?  Would you rather extend the runs to include books you don't currently own, or upgrade the books you already have?  (I'm a run collector so you can probably guess my vote if I had one.)

Sgt. Fury (8 raw), Strange Tales (7 raw), and Tales to Astonish (7 raw) have multiple raw issues. I honestly don't have a lot of motivation to have these graded or replace them with slabs.

Avengers, Incredible Hulk, Journey into Mystery, Tales of Suspense, and X-Men have all issues slabbed.

Amazing Spider-Man (#1 - #18, #20, plus others), Daredevil (#1 - #10), and Fantastic Four (#1 - #17, #20, plus others) are minimally slabbed. I do need to get ASM #19 and Fantastic Four #18 and #19 slabbed.

Sure no worries! And take it as it comes, cause no pressure, just glad to see if there are goals to pursue to be sure.

Worthy goal and accomplishment, be sure to give thanks for what has come, and I'm sure there will be more. :)

Well, as of right now, I am working towards two goals:

First, I want to get Brave and the Bold #28 - #30 and Justice League of America #1 - #14 in slabs. Currently, I have BatB #28 and #29 in slabs, as well as JLA #1, #2, #13, and #14 in slabs. I want to complete this run like this (#3: CGC 5.0 - 5.5, #4 - #6: CGC 5.5 - 6.0, #7 - #9: CGC 6.0 - 6.5, #10 - #12: CGC 6.5 - 7.0). I know most people will think this is lame, but JLA was a book I really enjoyed when I was young.

Second, I want my FF Annuals #1 - #6 with slabs, with no grades lower than CGC 6.0, as well as ASM Annuals #4 - #5, with no grade lower than CGC 8.0. I want to complete this goal like this: FF Annual #1: CGC 6.0, FF Annual #2: CGC 6.5 - 7.0, FF Annual #3: CGC 7.0 - 7.5, FF Annual #4: CGC 7.5 - 8.0, FF Annual #5 and #6: CGC 8.0 - 8.5. Also, ASM Annual #4: CGC 8.0 - 8.5, ASM Annual #6: CGC 8.5 - 9.0.

I also want to get a nice copy of Mystery in Space #53 for a reasonable price, and I would really like to get a copy of Superman #53. At some point in time, I need to buy back IH #181 and GSXM #1, as I sold these to pay for AF #15, I think. And, as a pipe dream, I would like to get a copy of Detective Comics #140, which is the first Riddler.

When I was a kid I loved reading old JLA books and am trying to put together a run of #1-38 (plus Brave and the Bold #28-30), so I don't think this is lame at all.

The stories are definitely cheesy, but it was so awesome seeing all of those superheroes in one comic...
