Does this qualify as "Silver"? 1970 is right on the edge of the comic age.

A book that I've been hunting down for quite a while now and finally got a great price on it. Absolutely love this piece.

It's debatable, some say the Silver age began in 1969 others say it began in 1970. I'd give it Silver because it's Silver Surfer! ;)

My only regret is not having access to a scanner to properly display this issue online.

This is 1 of 2 Captain America issue that is a "must have" for me. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks to the gentleman who helped me add this to my collection...sincerely.

I got a few back from the CGC this week. Thanks to Steve Paulus for helping me get these signed! The Daredevil and the Fantastic Four were all part of a larger collection that my Grandmother was nice enough to buy me back in 1987 for around $200.

Just came in. I will preface this by saying I am not a SA collector, but this is a book I've wanted ever since I first saw the cover this past year. The relationship between Superman and Batman during the SA and early BA was never exemplified better than this example in my opinion. This was the super "Friends" I remember as a kid.

The adult in me understands why, but the kid will always wonder how we went from this to what we have on the cover of DKR4. Kinda sad really.

The General forum has a new in your collection this week thread that is active, but gets little activity and even less comments on silver age books when they are posted. The 10 cent thread runs in fits and has a limited scope. Other threads in this forum come and go. The golden age thread has a ongoing "Have a Cigar" thread, how about we do a what's new in your collection thread focusing on silver age stuff? Would love to see more regular action in this forum.

Here are my new SA additions for this week fresh from the Comic Link May Featured Auction! (thumbs u

Found this one in a lot sale longbox. The Twilight Zone #84 from June, 1978. Frank Miller's first professional art in a comic book. I think I'll get it pressed out and hang on to it. For sitting in a long box without a bag or board all these years, it's in pretty damn good shape. Anyone think it would be worth sending to CGC or no?

I just added this to my collection. I wonder what I'll do with this, since I do not collect Marvel Mania stuff. I guess this will not be a keeper. The 8 posters are still sealed in the original packaging. It's pretty cool to have an unopened set though, I don't know how many of those are still around.
