happyhippo
Looks like that particular book sold on Heritage in November, 2014 for a little under $2100. Has it really appreciated almost 500% in 14 months? Seems unlikely to me. That same seller has a Detective 38 in 1.5 for almost $17K that just sold on Heritage in November for $11,352. $5.5K appreciation in 2 months??? What am I missing here? I don't think you're missing anything, Jeff - those ebay prices are too high. That's why the books are still sitting there. Is the seller close enough to you that you could see the books in person/negotiate?

Dark Knight
The only reason why I didn't buy this book before is because I wasn't digging the cover. Oh well.
jgallo
I was interested in the detective 36 but was worried either the cover was detached or the spine was split.... James G Edited April 20, 2016 by jgallo

lhcomics
I was interested in the detective 36 but was worried either the cover was detached or the spine was split.... James G I'm glad you didn't get the grader notes. Spine has issues but cover is attached at both staples and probably 4" of spine splitting. Now all I need are 27 and 29. I can see me getting the 29 one day but 27 I would have to sell all in my sig line plus a few more items for a decent presenting low grade copy. lhcomics
"Affordable" 29 coming up in CConnect. http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=658792 I saw that 29 but not the eye appeal I would want for that grade. I know my 31 looks bad but on that comic I took first thing I could find.
