Where's Greggy?

41 posts in this topic

I'm in Vancouver the next few days -- other than reaching out to Greggy for a visit, who else is here in Vancouver of boardies?

What are the good comic shops here?

And then I'm off to Portland (but harder for me to meet up?)

I need to PM the king of the boards Greggy, but to everyone else, let me know who's floating about here.

We should make this a game.

Kind of like a combination of "Pin The Tail On The Donkey" and "Where's Waldo?"

Take a virtual map of Vancouver and have board members pin a spot blindfolded until somebody gets it right.

I would love to meet you Brian and show you around our beautiful

city. I think you will have a great time and the weather has been hot

lately.

We could talk strategy about how to hit the :takeit: first on

your sales threads. ;) J/K.

Unfortunately I have to work the next four night/graveyard shifts

and Greggy is probably your man for the local comic scene.

I find all the shops around town are too expensive for SA/BA

books and I've never seen a GA book in a shop around here.

Good luck and I hope you have a good time.

Golden Age Collectables is by far the best comic shop to visit. They have a serious selection of SA and GA books. You will need an appointment to see their good stuff.
Ditto but I haven't been there in months.

Man, first Sharon and now Brian.

The owner, Pat, only works on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

However, he's not one to really negotiate on prices.

Brian,

You should take the light rail Skytrain out to New Westminster on Sun July 11/10. There will be over 300 vintage cars from 1919 to pony cars to view and it is a free outdoor event on Columbia St. in btwn the 2 Skytrain stations. Only happens once a year, and welcome to Vancouver! The Olympic torch may still be lit downtown too.
