Its was a commission that was changed to a CONAN that is somewhere on the thread.

I was given a description of a science fiction pulp cover,this is what i came up with.

X-51 is my tip of the hat to Kirby.

I kind of agree. I always wondered why when even as an older man in the Marvel Universe, he was ripped. I always imagined that if a person used powers like his as often as he did, he'd be much closer to how he looked in the movies. Old and thin, yet no less formidable.

 

I'm also a big fan of Magneto. Up there with Green Goblin for favorite villain.

I drew MAGNETO once and to me the muscle bound version thats was floating around at the time made no sense. He is in Marvel time a man of 60+ years.

I drew him like this( not a sketch from the period but you get the idea ).
