Shocking considering a Batman 1 CGC 3.5 (EP) TRIMMED sold for 8K a few months back.

:o

Is $10,250 the out-the-door price or was there a buyers premium added to that?

I wish I'd known that was the reserve, I would've bid for sure. What a bargain someone got on that book!! :headbang:

I would generally say there has to have been a premium but I've been searching the site and have not found evidence of one yet. :o

This just may have been the deal of the century.

Really crazy considering proxibid and MCA were eating the difference between this sales price and the earlier "sale" to someone with a stolen credit card. I had no idea this 3 book auction was even taking place. Did anyone else?

No.

I'd have paid more as well

initially the reserve was much higher...I bid about 15K with juice on the book, not sure why mound didn't contact me before they sold for less than I had bid (shrug)

Very odd on their part. hm

AS was said.... "Terrible venue".

However, didn't a EXT restored Bat 1 just sell on E-Bay for less than 14k?

Maybe the book is worth less than we believe?

Are you speaking of the raw "5.5 EXT" that just sold?

If so that one sold for a mere $7,765.33

Two really really low sales.

He was calling it 5.0, and while he had 100% feedback, he only had 23. The book was bound to sell for less than market value.

No. Unless I was dreaming a Bat 1 VF or VF + (ext restored) sold on E-Bay in the last month or so for 14 K.

Then again, I might have imagined the whole sale?

Well I certainly would have paid 15k

14-16 K might be the correct price today. (shrug)

However, I'm never crazy about tape but it does add value to a book? :baiting:

I would have paid 12K myself so clearly the book could have been yours. :gossip:

Yep it was right around there, which oddly enough the same book sold for $300 more ($13,800) back in 2005. According to GPA. hm
