Bad Experience with Ebay Seller Salesxtreamvoip

Anyone have any bad experience with seller "salesxtremevoip"? I just won an auction of a FF#12 and after receiving it, I can see right away it has extensive color touch on the cover.it also appears to have been trimmed. I emailed the person (who turns out to be someone named "Maria" in Arlington, Texas) and she denies this, and won't return my money.Even when i pointed out that you can see the ink touch up bleeding through on the inside cover at the fold, and even when I pointed out that at the end of the description she states "refunds will be given upon return of merchandise" (I copied/pasted the very thing she wrote) and sent that to her, she still refuses to refund. I have opened a dispute with Paypal, but my experience tells me to just send the book back and make a claim to my credit card company. This seller is baaaad news.

Escilate it to a "claim" with paypal immediately,but make sure to give extensive details regarding the restoration,and her refusal to take the item back,especially if she offers returns on the listing .Do that first in the comments section of the dispute,before making it a claim...as its harder to add info once its escilated.

Go..go...

Haven't lost a Paypal case yet with simiar situations....

Well, I had already opened the claim without going into detail about the restoration. I will send them (Paypal) a close-up of it, especially the inside cover bleeding, when Paypal contacts me (assuming they will prior to any decision).Another potential problem may be that the seller has "no returns" listed under the standard return policy, but then contradicts that in the listing itself by explaining in detail that money will be returned when the item is returned in the same condition as sent. I should have clarified that contradiction before bidding.I did have a claim denied earlier this year by Ebay Buyer Protection when I returned an AF15 for being over graded and missing pieces from the rear cover and spine, but I was able to make a claim to my credit card company, who returned the money after return delivery confirmation.

ALSO,call paypal,talk to a claims specialist on the case,esplain the info,and tell them you want to send pictures and links,ect..they will access a section for you to "add info",and you will be able to.

Avoid using your credit card company to dispute it,as paypal says you are not supose to,and they will close your paypal account if you go that route and circumvent their claims process,use it only as a "last resort."

I just checked out the other auctions this seller is running. They all say No Returns .

I love the rant on the bottom. " I strive for best 5 star, to make everyone of my buyer happy." But they don't offer refunds on anything. (shrug)

"Significantly not as described" is just that,and their "no returns" means absolutely nothing in Paypal/Ebays eyes.

ALSO,call paypal,talk to a claims specialist on the case,esplain the info,and tell them you want to send pictures and links,ect..they will access a section for you to "add info",and you will be able to.

I was thinking of taking photos of the book and then returning it right away, as that is what my credit card company would want, but I will take the advice and wait for paypal (but the message in the claim states that I should wait until Dec 24th to hear from them-that seems a little long)

English and suggested that perhaps selling bad comics was just a way for an new immigrant to make easy money. She wrote:

I had a similar situation with a buyer last week, I refunded his money and let him keep the book.

 

I believe you have actually received this item. We have been using ebay since 1998 and have had very few problems. Unfortunately, I failed to get a tracking number when I sent it back. Why are you getting so excited over this? It's just business. Also please turn off your caps lock, no need to shout.

I made a huge mistake on this one, I had my wife return it and she did not get DC, I figure I'm pretty much screwed out of the cash. I am not even sure I'll be able to give a neg, now that I opened a case, which requires DC for the return.

 

Tempus Fugit says "Caveat Emptor" and don't forget the Delivery confirmation.
