2010 in Comic Review

32 posts in this topic

As the year 2010 draws to an end, let us commemorate our comic achievements. It could be acquiring a key, completing a run or getting a particular issue you really wanted. So long as it's significant to you, post it! :) I'll start the ball rolling...

In NO particular order,

1.) I joined the CGC Forum Boards actively.

2.) I met some awesome boardies (thumbs u

3.) I made my first board purchase.

4.) I bought my first SS slab.

5.) I bought my first sketch :)

6.) I got my first awesome BTK sketch :cloud9: and man, awesome is an understatement.

7.) I got my first two "personalized" Ken Haeser sketches. Can't wait to see it :headbang:

8.) I attended my first comic con!! Woohoo!!

9.) I got my first sketch at a comic con.

10.)* Looking forward to starting on a new comic goal I set for myself in 2011! But that's a story for another thread ;)

I'll add more when I recall them. Enjoy and share!! :)

I met more boardies this year and met none of my collecting goals whatsoever.

So as soon as the thread starts for comic collecting resolutions with the coming New Year, I will fill it with more empty promises of finishing my Iron Man run and buying some OA. :D

2/ Got to see the best private collection I have ever seen and probably ever will see in my life time.

3/ Whittled my ASM CGC collection down to the final 2 books!

4/ Talked a lot of cash :censored: here!

I'd like to hug you all, but I ain't gonna!

Maybe deep down, we know that if we were to complete our goals, there'll be nothing else to do lol regardless, good luck on your goals!!

4: I sold 95% of my best books.

I promised to never tell who owned or where this collection is located.

But just put it this way, the only key piece that I didn't see was an Action 1 - everything

else was there, and I mean EVERYTHING!

I bought ASM 12, 13, 14, 15 this year.

The only two left (and I planned it this way) are:

ASM # 1 (I want this as the last one)

and ASM # 3 (my fav spidey villain).

These will complete my run of AF 15 to ASM Present.

WOW. I can barely imagine. Haha but he must have a warehouse for all his comics then! It must be high maintainance surely. Storage cost, etc etc. Very interesting the way you left the last two issues for your ASM. Looking forward to see them in your hands! :)
