Alright guys, sorry if I confused anyone. Here are the following points to keep in mind:

 

1. The price posted will win the book immediately with a :takeit: in thread.

2. Make me an offer through PM (or in thread, if you're not bashful) I may accept immediately or if it has not been beaten within one week then I'll sell to your low ball aka OBO (or best offer).

 

So far every book sold in this thread has been as a result of a OBO PM.

 

I don't feel it's necessarily good etiquette for me to reveal who bought what, or if someone's offer is in PM that I should say who has made an offer. I guess I could post what offers have been made.

 

The GL 76 CGC 4.5 SS was sold via PM for $350 shipped.

 

The six X-Men books that were sold were sold via PM for $50 + Shipping.

 

Currently there is only one offer on the table and it is for a variety of books: Marvel Premiere 15, Astonishing Tales 25, and Star Wars 1 for $35. This particular offer will have hit the one week mark in about one more day and once it has it will be sold to the person that made the offer.

 

There was also an offer on one of the ASM books but the potential buyer did not indicate whether or not his offer price included shipping price so that one is merely tentative.

 

I actually have six long boxes of BA books to sell but I've barely been getting a nibble on these so I'm finding it hard to go through and list out everything.

 

My advice is to make an offer for books individually. I had one offer on the table that was a combo of books and it was a lowball but it was beaten out by someone wanting to pay more for some of the books in the combo. I believe the offer was $100 for X-Men 94 and several other X-Men books and then the offer came in for $50 for six books and I took it. I asked the original person if they wanted to amend their offer but as of yet they have not.

Why not just make this an auction sir?

 

You have prices listed that you will accept which will appease the rule gawds out there, so throw to the wind and go auction style.

 

That way you won't have to keep posting PM'd offers to beat... plus might generate a little excitement around here :)

 

Just give a definate end time via your time zone and I bet the bids will start coming in.

The anonymity factor mostly....BUT I agree with you that an auction would be exciting. Also, the price that I've set is the price I would sell for immediately, however I could also possibly accept any offer immediately as well.

Now that people are catching on to this thread, what are the chances of lessening the week-long OBO clause? This thread could last months with people potentially waiting the full week then bumping up a few dollars or so. I know personally, I am going to lose interest in waitiing an extended amount of time for one item to creep up in price.
