You know what I just realized?

 

The scenes are almost identical but from two different perspectives!

 

It almost looks as if the FF in their car would be right about where Spiderman's word balloon is which reads:

 

"It will soon marvel at the awesome might of Spider-Man"

I just checked and FF3 came out in March of 1962 and AF15 came out in August of 1962 so I guess FF3 would be considered Marvels first Silver Age comic with costumed-heroes.

 

(Tales to Astonish 35 came out in September of 1962... I believe.)

The cover design of the AF15 seems to always stand out to me. I like the colors too. The brown at the top with the yellow lettering. Then, the cloud shaped art that follows.

Yeah Mike, from a composition standpoint it really grabs you more than the FF 3.

AF #15 all the way. Too iconic of a cover and that red in the center just pops off and gets your attention.

Spider-Man has had three movies recently, but the FF only had 2. Obviously AF15 is better.

AF #15 rules the roost, but you gotta love the two left hands on Torch in FF#3

I know it sounds blasphemous, but I never really cared for that cover of AF 15 all that much...

I think both covers are pretty lame, but AF15 is the better out of the two.
