Could someone have been impersonating RatKing216? The message to Bob is signed "ratking216."

Dear blazingbob,

I was just wondering where you get your prices from? ... :blahblah: ... I could get X-Men #1 for that you know. And thank you for not giving a mess about the customer, but only yourselves.

But his eBay My World page clearly states:

RatKing216

This is all one word for a reason. The R and K must also be capitalized as well. It is pronounced as Rat King 2 1 6. Not 216. Not 21 6. Not 2 16. But 2 1 6. Each number upon itself. Say it with me... Rat King 2 1 6. RatKing is for obvious reasoning. I have been known as the King of Rats if you will. I have bred more than my share of litters. Yes always as pets. The highest number of rats that I have ever had was 23. Right now, however, I only have 6. The 216 represents my prior area code. Which will always remain my home even if I'm not there. The one and the only Cleveland, Ohio. (You can stop laughing now). Put it all together and you have me. RatKing216.

I notice that SOT is missing in all 3 pics. :o

Does that mean there is a convention sidekick spot available? hm

No, but I am fairly certain that is why Bob is smiling.

You belong to me, beyatch

This is what happens when you respond to a person who emails you like this.

Dear golden-age1,

GPA reported a sale on 3/19/2011 for $13K. I guess you missed a great comiclink deal at $9500. I'm not sure how your flaunting comment is going to help you in getting me to sell you this book at a price you want to pay.

Dear blazingbob,

Wouldn't deal with a seller who is more interested in hijacking the customer than being fair. you lost a customer and sale. flaunt on

Dear golden-age1,

Hijacking? Seriously, is this how you do business? What's fair? $9500 Comiclinks 3/1/11 sale or the $13000 GPA sale which was reported 3/19/11? Please do some research before emailing sellers on what they should sell books for.

Dear blazingbob,

think i've had enough of you now - please do not email me again.

I'd just ignore someone that is completely unreasonable in their opening email. I get the odd one myself and don't bother replying at all.

I get plenty of polite ones though and those work out well.

Take it as a compliment that people scrutinize what you do.

It's not even like Bob's price was unusual, was a one-off anomaly, because there have been quite a few nicely-registered X-Men 94s in 9.6 offered on C-Link at the same level before now, around $6,000 for White pages and $5,000 for OW-W. The guy would've been better doing some more extensive research before losing it, I believe. (shrug)
