Nice book, I've been looking for a decent copy of that book for sometime.

But I did finally pick up a copy of WWar 13 9.6 with perfect centering after years of looking. Spent more than I should of.

I've got the Rosa 9.2 copy of the WW 13 also. For some reason its my favorite cover of the run. But the centering on that book really makes it. I've been much more picky about the image area lately. Sometimes I also like the book cut a little low on top to give more image area on the bottom. Also sometimes you can sometimes find a book slightly oversized to get more image area.

I like that Unexpected. I've got a nice copy also. Wow redfishing really makes things crazy. Nice FMansion 9 you won. I always liked that cover also. Missed out.

I took a quick digital photo to show you an example of the different image area from the Unexpecteds and the WW13's. As you can see the Unexpected is cropped low at the top but it gives much more image area on the bottom. On the WW13 as you can see the new book I bought has more image area on both the bottom and on the side.

I keep some lower grade books just because they show more image area. Everyone in a while I get lucky and find a slightly oversized book that really shows off more image area.

WWT #13 is a weird one (no pun intended). I've seen multiple high grade certified copies of #13, but I've never (and I repeat) never seen a copy of surrounding issues in grade (specifically #10, #15, #17, #19, etc). Completing that title may prove more frustrating than my other titles that I have significantly more progress on. I have a bobcat FTDM #9, this one is an insurance policy in case the certification gods aren't nice to me. 893crossfingers-thumb.gif (provided I feel like spending my comic money on certification vs buying more comics)

I'm glad about the HOS #91, but the QP isn't great. Mixed bag for me but this is the first 9.4 I've seen of that ish. Just move up one issue to #92 and I see dozens of new copies for sale every week. I'll eventually shell out for a 9.6 of that issue. Can you believe some recent inquiries into a 9.6 copy were met with slammed doors? Just don't go around slamming why certain issues cost so much etc, otherwise you won't be allowed to inquire into buying that book. poke2.gif

Hilarious this hobby is.

new acquisition--one of the few Chan covers I actually like.

That is a nice cover, but CGC got it wrong. frown.gif Look at the artist's sig next to the green-shirted boy's right shoulder (right at the book's spine). It's another Nick Cardy cover!

I was thinking the same thing...

Personally I've seen most of those in high grade. I had a harder time finding a decent 13. The one book I would without doubt agree with you on is 17. I never see that one in high grade. I bought a 8.5/9.0 copy from Doug Suplia and was super happy to get it. I've never seen that book above 9.0. 15 is somewhat tough also but I've seen a couple that would grade above 9.0. If you want to get rid of that FTDM #9 let me know.

I knew something was up when I was enjoying a Chan cover. Well this is going to get reholdered along with several other label mistakes.

Tell me again why we pay for certification? Might as well have my 3 year old at the helm of the keyboard that creates these labels.

I bought this one raw off of ebay for cheap (about $10, I think). Came back tied for 2nd highest. I think I have posted it in the war thread previously.

My #15 is a Manitoba from Sulipa - prolly a 9.2-9.4, I would think if slabbed.

WWT is the horror/war title I have had the most fun collecting. I have about 9 issues to go and then some random upgrades. One day I'll pop for a nice eye-appeal VF+ #1.

Gang--I'm looking to sell most of my bronze 9.0 and 9.2 books for $10-$15 each (CGC certified of course). If I indicated an order minimum, would any of you bite? Looking at literally dumping them to make room.

Let me know your basic thoughts. I want to get rid of em fast. Im considering the trash as an option 893whatthe.gif

I'm building up a final definitive list this evening.

Let me know.

Yes. PM sent!

no need for PMs (unless you'd rather just communicate to me privately)...just seeing what the interest would potentially be.

Based on perceived demand, I'll basically be compiling a list, and placing it up. Some books may have a slightly higher price. There will be a required minimum to order. Anything that doesn't sold will be wrapped up into one big eBay auction. 9.4s or better for my collection now, so that means I'll be taking a step back.

I'll be working up a small fixed price for shipping as an extra incentive.

Look to the horror thread for more details if this progresses further.
