Just wondering? Can't get any worse than the villian selection in 1 & 2.

IM 2 had such lame villains as whiplash combined with Crimson Dynamo and other War Machine robots...Madarin and Ultimo sound like a step up to me!

I'd love that combo! The hard part would be finding the right actor and FX to do Namor right....and not have him come off looking like Spock in the water.

its surprising the films are as good as they are seeing as the villians are so weak

The first movie overcame that shortcoming because the rest of the movie was awesome. By the end with the Iron Monger...it didn't matter.

 

I thought Whiplash wasn't bad in IM 2 but overall the 2nd half of IM 2 with the robots was lame.

I think Ultimo would be cool, but it would be the third time in a row with a robot-type enemy. Go with the Mandarin and/or someone else who's really epic.

 

Actually, that's a good point. I figure Namor will show up eventually whether it be in Avengers or the X-Men, but I think IM 3 would be the perfect intro.

How about Armor Wars-light as a story line (too many lame villains to introduce). Focus on the Ghost (with Stilt Man for comic relief ). Think the combination of CGI and the Ghost's abilities/gadgets would be cool. However, the Ghost is secretly working for AIM. At the end, Stark realizes he cannot control the rampant spread of Iron Man technology and pours a bottle of scotch into a 7/11 Big Gulp cup. Fade to a bunch of yellow-bucket head scientists installing an arc-reactor into the back of a MODOK unit...
