I hate that. Its Captain America. No need to censor the name. I understand they want to make as much money as they want and some countries might not want a movie with a America title but sometimes patriotism should trump money . So says a proud Amrican with family who fought in some of the wars for the freedoms we have. ( Sure we all have family members in the military proteting this great country).

US movie titles have a long history of not being literally translated when shown on foreign screens - and the same is true for foreign films being shown in the US.

 

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", for instance, only carries that title in English-speaking countries - pretty much everywhere else in the world it's known as "Men Who Hate Women" (which is also the title of the original Swedish book). The US publisher thought the original title would be too harsh for American audiences and had it changed.

I'm just blabbing I don't have true rebuttal, but I do feel it is different and not the best comparison and it's just not right. All these other countries can get their own First Avenger and Captain.
