What do you mean by Byrne hating his fans? I know he's a no go with CGC but that's all I know.

 

My understanding is that he refuses to do conventions because the fans are fat, sweaty, smelly, and rude. It's a shame the minority ruin it for all of us.

more than likely baltimore then for the simonsons.

 

Both Simonsons were just added to Heroes, which is in a couple of weeks.

 

I'll try to update the list by Tuesday, but no guarantees. I'm behind on my homework.

He was a "tool" way before that. Very unpleasant person at the con I saw him at back in the early 80's.

He was a "tool" way before that. Very unpleasant person at the con I saw him at back in the early 80's.

+1 I'll second that. Not a fan myself but saw him verbally belittle a couple of people at one of the Motor City Cons quite a few years back.

Loved his X-Men run but the man is a complete person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed.

I saved the info from the last update, but removed the actual appearances just to whittle down the posts on this page. I hope this doesn't mess anything up for anyone.

 

INFORMATION OF INTEREST:: Ray Bradbury removed. :( Albuquerque, Project Comic Con, Albany Comic Con removed. Denver updated and Cindy Morgan, Bruce Boxleitner, Michael Linsner, and Neal Adams have been added. Heroes is updated and the rumors are true, Mike Zeck will be there! Florida Super Con updated. SDCC updated. Wizard World Chicago added. Fan Expo Canada added and you really need to have a look under the "A's" in celebrities! Fan Expo doesn't look huge, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for with the guests! Dragon Con updated. I absolutely had to update Cincinnati Comic Expo because it's just too cool to have Tom Yeates, John Totleben, Steve Bissette, and Rick Veitch at a single show. Three of these four Swamp Thing creators show up so rarely that I had to add them to the list! "Star Wars Fan Days" in Dallas seems to have dropped the "Star Wars" from their name and their line up. I'm leaving is as SWFD for now. I promise I'll deal with it later. Wizard World Miami now has its dates set and Brimstone will be appearing. I don't recall who was looking for him, but for the time being he is expected at WWM. Baltimore updated and they have some amazing guests coming! Orlando Comic Expo updated. Denver removed.

Got an email from AMC that said there was going to be a WD panel. Wondering if there anyone knows about a subsequent signing :shrug:

 

"The cast and producers of AMC's breakout hit series The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad will participate in hour-long panels at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. Moderated by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, The Walking Dead panelists will discuss what fans can expect in the highly anticipated third season, which debuts in October. Panelists include Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Denai Guerrero, David Morrisey, Executive Producer and Showrunner Glen Mazzara, Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd, Executive Producer Robert Kirkman and Co-Executive Producer and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor Greg Nicotero."

3:30-4:30 The Art of Death and Darksiders II— A lively demonstration on bringing 2D comic art to 3D graphics and back again- Joe Madureira (Vigil Games Darksiders creator; artist for Avenging Spider-Man, Ultimates, X-Men), and Han Randhawa (Vigil Games, Darksiders I and II creative director) use exclusive examples from the creative development process to show how they bring a unique comic inspired vision to 3D life in the new Darksiders II video game from THQ, where you become Death, the most feared rider from the legendary Four Horseman of the Apocalypse. In part two, representatives from Dark Horse Comics demonstrates how they took this highly stylized universe in 3D, converted it back to a 2D comic book series, and expanded on the mythos, revealing scenes and storyline threads that complement the events of the video game.
