Hulk 181 question

I have a copy of this that has a jeweler insert in the middle of it.

 

Anyone know anything about this? Is this rare or special or anything? I tried looking it up online and couldn't really find anything.

 

I would post pictures, but I don't have the actual comic with me right this minute. Thanks for any input.

It's a little scarcer to see one with it but I don't think most people value it more. There are folks out there that collect books with jeweler's inserts I know though.

The Mark Jeweler insert was inserted into books that were distributed to Military bases throughout the States. They generally command higher prices than their regular counterparts, but not enormously from what I can see.

Not a huge premium, but expect to get the high end of the GPA average if it's slabbed.

Basically what L-900 said. It was just an ad insert in a specific area in the states. And yes they recognize it. I personally think they are pretty cool.

Some Bronze keys, in extremely high grade, will carry a premium if they have MJ inserts.

 

X-Men #94 in 9.4+, for example, or Hulk #181.

My Hulk 181 is not high grade...it's low grade...2.0-3.0ish.

Then it's not worth being slabbed but has a cool factor to it with the MJ insert (if you decided to sell it).

Yeah. Everything is still attached to the staples. It's just pretty tattered. I paid around 140 for it years ago.
