Thanks for any help grading this copy of House Of Secrets #92 -

Man that front cover held so much promise,then I see the back cover.With the water damage at the top BC and the soiling at the spine.7.5-8.0

The front cover looks like a 9.2

Yeah I was disappointed when I saw the top of the BC. I wonder how far the water damage extends into the pages...

You think so? I'd have trouble calling the front cover 9.2 based on the creasing along the right edge and at both lower corners. Plus, i think I see a stress line near the upper staple.

 

CGC would hammer the grade based on the stains. Can't see it going any higher than a 7.5.

A very nice looking 7.5 it would be.

Thanks for all the help with ideas on the grade of this book. Here are some addtional photos of the inside front and back cover. The water damage is slight, but is there. I bought the book based on a VF/VF+ grade -

Nice copy - I'd say a technical 6.5, but presents higher (7.0-7.5) (thumbs u Betcha it looks great in a Mylar!

I am no CGC expert by any means (I have submitted about 12 or so comics and they were all submitted around 2003 or so), but it seems their grading is not nearly as strict as it once was.

Great book, but that moisture damage really hurts.
