In regards to whether Cables first is actually an ad. Generally ads don’t appear in the panels of the story itself. They appear separately on ad pages.
 

I’d argue that it’s part of the story since it appears in story and it makes sense to show the next antagonist in one panel and the next protagonist in the following.

The tangents that this thread regularly explores can be ignored by anyone and everyone, it's just that easy. They don't prevent anyone else from discussing books that are heating up and they prevent the thread from falling off the first page. Each time someone complains about this thread going off topic it's just read as "hey I haven't got any free information to make money lately, gimme gimme gimme".

Cable is not in a story panel. What story panels have you ever seen that look like that?

You are correct that it is now rare for ads to appear on story pages. This was not always true, though even 30 years ago it wasn't common.

Wolverine's first brief appearance is effectively an ad for the next issue, but is part of the story. Cable is literally pictured in an ad for the next issue that appears on the final story page, after the story ends.

I read these books with my kids as our bedtime story and they loved them.  I felt it had a Stranger Things vibe from the start and it now looks like this will be Stranger Things for Amazon Prime.

Only it clearly doesn't appear in the story. It's after it.

For about 5 years I never had to send in for ME's. This year quite a few times though and I don't even email anymore, just do the submission. As a matter of fact, I have three more I need to send with cracks in the cases from recent submission returns. The turnaround has been pretty quick though.

If there is a flaw that you believe was caused during the grading process, fill out a ME submission.  I believe there is a time limit for this to be done free, but I cannot find it at the moment on the site.

I believe it is 14 days after receiving.  And I always recommend calling CS before doing the ME process otherwise you could get charged for it if they do not approve the ME submission.

Those will drop quickly once the other 5000 books at CGC currently getting graded come back. Just like those other Gleason covers from last year.

Re: ASM #93, if Chasm becomes a bigger villain in the spider-verse then current prices will find a support since it is demand that drives prices on books............

You have to feel sorry for the Ben Reilly property. He is being treated as a WWE property in flipping from villain/heel to hero and then back time after time. At least prices are finally starting to move on ASM #149 again. That may mean the current heel Reilly aka Chasm has some legs longer term.

Did a local show yesterday. Maybe 300 to 400 people I think. This
Show was 90% comics so no cosplay or autograph stuff which was
refreshing and since I organized it what I wanted. Met several boardies
and some great discussions with them.

I didn't really have any consistently of what everyone was looking for.
I sold several Strange Academy 1 4th prints and a 9.4 slab. 

I was busy most of the day so I didn't get to buy as much as I would have
liked.

Sold JLA/Avengers Set in 1st hour. 

Several Spawn singles in the 40s,50s and 60s for $5-8 each.

Alot of Thor single or multiple issues probably from movie tie in.

Several Morbius issues in the late to mid 20s. Just tough to find.

Static issues in the 20s and 30s sold several $5-35 each I sold 5 
issues the week before the show opened as well so this title has
been selling well lately.

Sold 100s of $1,$3 and $5 books.

Sold a Ghost Rider 93 and several and the 50s to 70s which are just
tough finds in high grade. 

Sold several 11 x 17 Natali Sanders artist prints. I like selling these because I know they
are going to frame them. 

Sold a Fantasy Quarterly VG 1 for $100. I never find one of those again. 

What shocked me was I had no requests for Star Wars or Marvel Zombies books and I had
several 1st appearances in slab and raw. 

Had all types of requests I could not fill. Older men wanted War books from SA to Bronze
filling holes I sent them over to other dealers. Been a while since I have seen so many buyers
with actually ledgers of numbers filling holes. 

There is quite a bit of difference between what is selling well on ebay and what sells well at a show.
As always either diversity or being cheap and profitable makes a difference. I saw dealer inventory
sitting that was a price okay versus bringing in buyers with $1 books and then upselling them
priced or $3 and $5 books and priced books. 

The hobby is alive and well. Please keep in mind the modern and slab market are just a % of this
hobby.

*If* Chasm becomes a bigger villain, it will probably still take some time for prices to take off, since so many people in today's market will already have one.
