Personally I ship without insurance or tracking...

I have had too many sold item sit at a UPS and USPS distribution centers so tracking #'s are a godsend to avoid the wrath of a buyer. It also eliminates the negative on slow shipping comment that has gotten numerous people kicked off as sellers.

I only use priority mail flat rate envelopes now as it comes with tracking and insurance for up to $50 for free. People complain about the price being $5.60 for a single book to be shipped sometimes but it is the peace of mind that is worth the price. Plus if you are a power seller and top rated seller, it only costs you $4.95 which is the break even point almost.

Stopped selling to Canada after some rare Zenescope variants never showed up but then the buyer magically had the same copies of the books to sell and eBay and paypal would not do anything about it.

why not just use first class for a single book? cheaper for both buyer and shipper and tracking is free.

side note, why do some people still not print postage through ebay?

Personally, I ship 1-2 comics via 1st Class Mail for $2.95 and 3-5 comics via Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope for $5.95 from my eBay store within the USA. And I normally ship comics to Canada and all other international locations via 1st Class Mail International envelope. And all of my eBay sales are shipped and postage paid through eBay as well.

1st Class is way cheaper and great for cheap books internationally. If you are shipping $$ books 1st class you wont do it forever trust me. Also you better protect the heck out of your books if ship 1st class because its going to take alot longer to get there and will handled more.

1st class has gone up considerably since the USPS updated their shipping in Jan. I still get hate email from Canadians about the change in shipping, but I calmly explain to them it ain't my fault.

1st Class US I just wont do for all types of issues, but mainly because I put alot of cardboard when I ship my comics and the weight goes up. Its always a cheap option for 1 or 2 books you dont care about if they get beat up.

I even use PM FRE's for cheap books (@$10); $50 and up generally get a Regional A PM box, but I've also had good luck packing a FRE inside a FRPE.

I use pretty thick cardboard for protection. And if it's a higher dolllar shipment I only ship via box. I rarely if ever have a problem with damage when shipping internationally and they usually get the shipment pretty fast.

I'm surprised those are still hot. They were good movers years ago and I mean a lot of years ago. They were low print with a good story.

Stan Lee Could Sign Toilet Paper and it would be $$$$

He has Just done too much for Comics....

I stand corrected. His sig on Superior Spiderman #1 clearly adds $20-40 to the CGC 9,8.

Stan's signature costs $50 and a wait in a fairly long line at most conventions I've been to where he was signing.

Cheaper is not always better. Most of the books I sell are $20 and up recent books. When I sell clearance books I use first class but everything else goes flate rate priority. My feedback on shipping times has jumped since I made the switch. I ship the day I get paid or he next which means they have books in hand in two to three days from when they pay.

These were $11.99 including shipping on their sire. I bet it brings at least that lol

$25 international shipping, what a joke.

When I send from Canada to States, if I get a tracking number and signature (i.e. so they can't claim "I never got it".) it's easily around $17-21.

That's what it costs, dingus :P Most unfortunate, yes, but a PM flat rate international envelope is $24.95. And if you want a high grade book to arrive in HG condition in any decent amount of time, you need to pack it well, and give it priority handling.

Normal shipping with no tracking, no signature is going to be a lot cheaper. Probably $10 or so, but ya, to cover your butt, it's going to be at least $18. And ya, more if it's packed well.

I was just burned $80 for not shipping with tracking. :sorry:

Ya, I'll never do that again.

Bought a Marvel Legends Cable for $6, sold it for $80 to a guy in San Jose or L.A.

Claimed he "never got it", so I was out an $80 item, PLUS had to refund him $80.

PayPal won't accept the receipts and shipping info from the post office either to prove it was sent. No matter how much proof you have, even if it's out of your hands, you still have to make sure it gets there.

Bastards. It ruins stuff for everyone. Like, just be honest and stop trying to scam people. Then maybe shipping could always be $8 vs $30 US <---> Canada.

:frustrated: :frustrated: :frustrated:

One comic book packed is seven ounces. $2.39 First Class with free Tracking if you do it online.

7 ounces in an envelope.

11 ounces in an S-342, which most of us grade junkies should be shipping in anyway.

What's an ounce ???:baiting:

FedEx and UPS. And same to those jackwads at FedEx.

I love USPS. :cloud9:

+10000

to UPS

"So you only deliver during the day, when EVERYONE works??

Si.

"and you make 3 delivery attempts within 7 days, and if you can't deliver, you ship right back to the sender?"

Si.

"and you only have one pick-up outlet, that's 30 min away from most parts of the city?"

Si.

Ya, around Christmas I left that outlet, and (not intentially), busted the window on the door as I left in anger.

WORST. SYSTEM. EVER. (if it's not business shipping).
