So, I read one of my 2 copies of Adv Of Superman 14 before dinner tonite. I gotta say that the writing is great and Jock really nailed it with his art, I got chills

when payed tribute to all of the versions of The Joker from the 1940's, to the animated series to Heath Ledger.

Def worth a read if you have a spare copy. you'll thoroughly enjoy it

Great to hear. I just ordered one online (tried 3 shops today; all were sold out) and can't wait to read it. :headbang:

Yup, its definitely a great read and the art is posh.. I think this is one of those books that no one predicted will sell and it probably did because of the cover.. Ive heard that from at least 10 store owners.. None of the stores ive been to regularly order more than 3-4 copies of this title and when this one hit the shelves it was all gone.. Ive seen at least 30 copies outcast #1 and Supes #32. If you can get Aos#14 on the Bay for $10-15 you should grab one, as i dont think it will go down in value and its an excellent read!

I'm not sure how I feel about ordering several copies of the first two variants, only to find out at the end of the day that the rarest one was kept off the table until now...and I'd have to order even more books (at no discount this time) in order to complete sets that I thought to already be complete.

At the very least, I'd still like to know the exact print run of the b/w reverse, since the other two print runs have already been disclosed.

I also think it would be nice to offer existing pre-order customers the same CGC discount on this variant that was previously offered on the other two.

IT DIDN'T EXIST UNTIL NOW. Im sorry you are angry with me for making a decision for my business. It became a reality yesterday. The edition size is limited. I cannot disclose as Marvel informed me I should not have disclosed it to begin with on the originals...which I was unaware of. Sorry you are unhappy. Regardless, I WILL offer the same discount code...again...for the 10% off...it is " cgcboard10 " . I will also spend the next several hours tonight individually refunding those who placed orders today their 10%...

You didn't have to do that. Great customer service (thumbs u

BTW he knocked that cover out of the park, up there with the best he has done.

Aaarrggghhh I forgot about the discount!!! :pullhair: Thanks for making them available anyway.

I'll be honest, I dismissed another JSC Black Cat cover since the last Midtown variant was "meh"

I saw this cover and had to have it :applause:

The writing is absolutely brilliant. The dialogue between Joker and Superman it just perfect. Its a scary Superman I would love to see more often. In fact this is what he is like in Injustice really.

This book can have some legs for awhile just based on the story. I could care less about the cover, but the story inside is pretty good.

Yes, very dark artistic and witty. The ending is brilliant too.. I wonder what made DC change the whole title with this one story. i mean they could have just as well had a one shot with this story without it being in the AoS continuity I would think..

I dont know how much truth there is to this, but a retailer told me today that they are going for a second print with this one. Anyone heard anything that confirms this??

I don't know about that, but I do know I had a hard time tracking down a couple copies. Finally found a store that had a stack of them but had a limit of two. Still better than nothing!

All these posts made me think something popped on eBay... Hence the thread title.

Good point. The supply is supposedly limited, let's see if the demand remains

AoS 14

AoS 14 Completed

A book heating up based on its merits and not TV/movie spec. Fancy that (thumbs u

speaking as one of the completed auctions at 13.99....

The sold really quickly at that price....I found some more and raised the price a little, but I don't expect any trouble selling them at that...it's a long weekend, people bored with the family thing are on their computers more....it's one of the rare times where it's a sellers market on ebay....

First I started hunting just so I had a copy to read, that was Friday after work. Fast forward to today... after several misfiress, near misses, calling almost every comic and gaming store in the DFW area and running around like a mad man I FINALLY got a copy at cover. Would've had two but the hole in the wall LCS owner said that he'd keep the second he promised me over the phone in case it blew up and he'd get some cash for it.

At least you live in a big city and can run around to more shops. Were i live there is only one shop and they might get 4-5 extra on top of their pull copys so slim pickings. I did pick one up on the bay before the madness hit and i was happy to get it. Now that i said something it will come in damaged boot print across the Fragile sticker or something similar.
