Captain America #25 :)

Surprised that Batman/RR #19 is still at cover to $5. That was pretty big news and the fact that Jena Malone is slated to play her in the movie, I definitely thought there'd be an uptick on them.

Its not official but once it is made official.....SOCK, POP, ZAM, HOLY BATGAS it'll be a hot book.

Batman Red Robin #19 Carrie Kelley1st appearance in the New 52 and 1st in continuity to the best of my knowledge. Nothing groundbreaking. This was a $1 book last month and maybe a $5 now.

With plenty of room to climb. (thumbs u

No. Her shadow is in Batman and Robin # 17.

Anyone else grabbing copies of Battle Scars #1 & #6?

Yes, since that's Coulson's first 616 appearance, but not his first comic appearance overall. Coulson's first appearance ever in comics is in the non-616 "Iron Man/Incredible Hulk/Nick Fury" one shot in 2009. The timeline of early Agent Coulson appearances seems to go like this:

Iron Man/Incredible Hulk/Nick Fury one shot, Cinematic Universe - February 2009:

Iron Man 2: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. one shot, Cinematic Universe, first cover appearance: November 2010

Battle Scars #1, first 616 appearance, although not referred to as Agent Coulson until Battle Scars #6 - November 2011

Where's the love for the Walmart Exclusive Iron Man: Movie Special Issue #1? It came out in September/October of 2008 and features Coulson throughout.

Here's some pics from the Walmart Exclusive Iron Man: Movie Special Issue #1. Ashcan sized, packed in with Wal-Mart copies of the DVD (released around/on 9/30/2008). The story is essentially a Coulson solo story taking place during the first Iron Man film, with Coulson featured as early as p. 2 and named throughout. Here's a couple of pics including the cover.

I thought this was only a digital release but it appears it was printed! Cool comic. I want one but they are gonna be impossible to find. I do not think I would have paid 50 bucks for it though.

I'm quoting this just so we can have another far-longer-than-necessary post.

How many sets does this person have?

I'm looking at maybe grabbing a few more, but I've got over 20 copies as it is...

Is this an exclusive to Walmart -- or just the illustration for the cover being exclusive?

Did a quick search and noticed other establishments having similar ashcan sized Iron Man comics, not sure if the material inside is the same or not...

From what I can tell from my research, it's just wal-mart. The story is titled "Security Measures."

Is there any precedent where a major character has had their first appearance in a smaller, promotional comic like this and CGC still denotes it as the official, first appearance?

While not a small promo comic, CGC notes Amazing Spider-Man 365 as the first appearance of Spider-Man 2099. That was a sneak peek of the upcoming series.
