I'd love to see the Sentry introduced too. I know that it was a corny idea that Marvel came up with to create him but I thought character had tons of potential in a Miracleman kind of way.

 

I actually loved the Sentry's origin. At least it was original and his first appearance is in Wizard Magazine.

The original Sentry story was great... what they did with him later? Not so much. I liked the idea of a Superman in the Marvel Universe & essentially his own superiority being the thing that wipes him out of the Marvel Universe at the same time. The way he just didn't "fit" so much that he couldn't exist.

Yeah, I did too. What I meant by corny was that, at that time, Marvel acted like they had found some long lost story from the early '60s. It would have been cool if that were the case but I liked it either way. It didn't hurt that Jae Lee was the artist for a lot of the early stuff. He is still my favorite modern artist. His art is more recognizable to me than almost any other modern guy other than McFarlane and Jim Lee.

You mean Marvel Presents? It's a stretch that Ulysses Bloodstone is linked to GOTG. You could say that he was by his gemstone, but now so is she. The only real link is people like me grabbing bronze age 1st appearances of oddball characters in hopes that James Gunn digs deep into the dork box and picks one of 'em for the next movie.

I have several copies of Marvel Presents #1 and Bloodstone #1 so I'm good either way if one or the other pans out

I think it used to be 3-6 were the tough books that sold well I haven't checked lately, but your data at least confirms 5 and 6 still sell well. What issue was the TPB cut off that can also be a leader into sales.

My hunch is that Singularity will in some way cause the new Marvel universe to form. Whether she sticks around after that, who knows?
