That was an expensive as$ book if it was a quarter (or 2 pesos!) in 1948...seriously, it be like saying an Incredible's book for like 40 bucks nowadays..damn! It's an appropriate X-mas cover for this time of year though, I like it!

Nope... as near as I can tell, this is the second print of a series that came out earlier in the fifties (1952-1956?)... The first comic that had Conan in it was Cuentos de abuelito 1952-11 (not sure which number, as the earliest cover I was able to find was #17, which may just be the first Conan cover?)... Finding that one, THAT would be cool... Interestingly, it didn't star Conan (who was drawn as a blond?!?), but, rather, Belit, of Queen of the Black Coast fame... Guess she appealed more than Conan :P
