My 2011 year in collecting from the board

So its been an interesting year for me. I finally paid of what I owed on my Cuda

And was able to start putting some cash into my comics :)

I have bought exclusively from this board and ive been fairly lucky.

I managed to pickup a few X-men books I was looking for like

I also started doing something I have always wanted to do and thats pickup some Golden Age books such as

I finally picked up my copies of the Photo Journal guide to comics. and realized the only way ill ever pickup all the books i want from the golden age is to sell my car lol. But I guess thats what makes collecting fun. you find something new out there you have to have and have to make those choices about what to keep and what to let go :)

Either way Im looking forward to putting a major dent in my early X-men need list next year and maybe juuuuust maybe picking up a few Schomburgs from the golden age :)

Ive enjoyed the board this year and wanted to say thank you to all that have been active participants in this great home for comic collectors !!

see you on the boards

Griff

P.S. I worked with a guy back in High School who had a 6-pack Super Bee.....laying rubber for a quarter mile...no problem.

I used to own a 71 440 6 pack Superbee 4 speed pistol grip B5 blue paint.I sold it many years ago,to this day I miss it.

The closest I've ever gotten to a Superbee was a '69 with a 383/4 speed. I was 19 years old, and the guy gave me first shot at it ($3500) and I couldn't afford the loan for it. I'm a Mopar fan on a Chevy budget, unfortunately.

That's a fine piece of machinery Griff - congrats on an awesome 2011.

Lmao!

Does it have the pistol grip 4 speed?

That has to be the most commonly heard question among Mopar enthusiasts.

Love it.
