my guess is the best list that anyone could possibly own, are the 5 books that mean the most to that person...

I think I would have a hard time narrowing down just 5, so I am going to do 20...sound good (shrug)

Thanks for asking! This is tough to pick only 5 issues. Raw grails that I own (in no particular order). Again, these are grails IMHO, mainly because of their iconic covers and significance in our hobby:

Vampirella #1 in 8.5 (Great Frazetta cover!)

Amazing Spider-man #121 in 9.4 (Poor Gwen)

Flash #105 in 2.0 (Flash's SA series begins)

G.I. Combat #87 in 5.0 (1st haunted Tank)

House of Secrets #92 in 7.5 (1st Swamp Thing by Wrightson)

I haven't considered raw grails, but here's my top five cgc:

- Avengers #4 CGC 6.5 SS Stan Lee, Joe Simon

- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 2nd print CGC 7.5 SS Kevin Eastman - I also had the pleasure of meeting him

- Walking Dead #1 CGC 9.6 SS Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore

- Captain America #100 (currently at CGC, previously a SS 8.0 Stan Lee) cracked to add Joe Simon

- For this fifth book, I've got so many other favorites, it's extremely hard to include another amongst my top, but I guess I'd have to go with another Captain America #1, it's the first issue to the current series. My copy is a CGC SS 9.8 with Ed Brubaker (writer), Steve Epting (artist) and Frank D'Armata (colorist)
