Comic Grading Company: 60 Day Grading

Sheesh. I find some occasional typos in some works I've published, but generally speaking, I'd like to think each article is 98-99% error free. This site is riddled with problems. Maybe the head librarian could provide some added guidance as a copy editor? If so little care goes into the details of the language you use to communicate to your customers, how much attention to detail goes into the grading?

It behooves them (if they're actually looking to be taken seriously by that demographic) to present themselves accordingly. If their English isn't up to par, then they really need to hire someone who can translate and/or copy edit their site.

I absolutely agree with this statement. I'm not a member of CBCA, but I am a member of other professional organizations, and I feel that the point of being a member is to lend credibility to the organization. And if someone is being less-professional, it reflects poorly on the organization.

I'm not sure if the use is technically against organizational by-laws and guidelines. I'll leave that to the board of directors to discuss (I'm merely an alternate ); however, I do think the manner in which it is done is *highly* questionable and may prove problematic.

I am opening a new grading service called "Fat Guy in Brooklyn Will Grade Your Comics in 30 Days or Less." I will charge a flat $10 fee per comic and all comics will be encapsulated in old yellow "Robert Bell" bags that I have removed from my personal collection comics over the years and tossed into the corner of my comic room. The pile of old bags is currently six feet tall, so I have enough encapsulation material to last me for a while.

 

 

I enjoyed this almost as much as your pressing service, but the name needs work. How about something like Rays Famous Comic Grading? Original Ray's Comic Grading? Ray's Brooklyn Style Comic Grading?

According to the seller's feedback on ebay, He/she has been selling comics listed as "Graded" in the description as far back May of 2010.

 

As a CBCA member myself, I find this very troubling as well. go get'em Mike.

I think it is the ebay seller grading his own books. They are both in Trail. BC.
