Top title by Publisher? You choose...

Which title do you rate as the top title per publisher? For example; I view Planet Comics to be the top Fiction House title by collecting popularity. I think if you were to stumble on a run of one title for each publisher, in this case Fiction House, Planet Comics would win in the Fiction House category. That would be the title I would hope to find. What say you?

Curious to see some of the picks for Fox, DC, ect....

I'd agree with everything except Centaur.

I know why Richard picked (AMF), over other Centaur titles, mainly Funny Pages (I think it's more super-hero oriented, and more sci-fi...Bill Everett...etc),

However, I would pick Funny Pages for the same reasons you picked Detective for DC, Marvel Mystery for Timely, Mystery men for Fox, Whiz for Fawcett, Pep for MLJ,...etc....etc....many would also chose Jumbo over Planet, but i can understand why Planet trumps Jumbo....good idea and great list. Also agree with FF #1.

I think Wonder/Wonderworld was probably Fox's flagship title but I always thought Mystery Men had a better line-up with Blue Beetle, Green Mask, and Rex Dexter. And the fact that all three of those ended up getting their own titles kind of seals the deal for me. But I do love me some Wonderworld...

I'm biased to National for Quality but it pretty much dies off after Uncle Sam vacates the covers. That is where my collecting ends for the series.

I had a hard time picking between Police, Hit and National for Quality. Heck, even Crack and Feature deserve some consideration simply because each title was so early, introduced important characters, and had such longevity. I went with Hit simply because I dig the first 25 issues so much. But I think Police should probably be the more important title.

I always think of Space Adventures for Charlton, though The Thing might be a better choice. And Strange Worlds or Eerie for Avon.
