If your grading is good, they're loose. If you don't know how to grade, it's super tight.

I have heard a lot of people complaining lately that the grading is somewhat moist.

CGC does the grading equivalent of kegel exercises to tighten up after a loose period.

I got my grades back on 4 books today: Two they graded lower than I was expecting, one higher than I was expecting, and one spot-on. So to answer the OP: I have no idea.

I just got 35 slabs shipped last week. And some were lower than what I was expecting. I guess my comics got the graders in a bad day.

I think CGC is most likely right. I also think the photos you provided won't/couldn't show the bend in the top right corner.

Without the bend it look like a 9.8. I would thought they would grade at least a 9.4.

Well they are definitely not grading like your forum name though they do charge for it.

 

More like someone who has never done it.
