Why is it most all horror fliks involve people under thirty?

Killers and supporting characters are often middle aged but thats about it.

 

 

Target audience ? (shrug)

 

Im sure you are correct. But middle aged people like the genre as well.

 

I would like to see a movie involving groups of say 4 or 5 couples ranging in ages say 45 to 65 running around in the woods being chased by chainsaw welding cannabilistic mutants. I would pay good money for that movie.

Speaking for oldies like myself, I prefer the moody-suspense horror-thriller over the hach-'n-slash variety. Give me a "Haunting of Hill House" over a "Nightmare on Elm Street" any day. The "something just isn't quite right" thriller is, I think, scarier than the "jump out of the shrubs" variety.
