SCS? Am I seeing things or is there edge wear on the right side?

I don't think you can trust scans like this. The resolution is pretty low. You can see all sorts of scanner artifacts and pixelation.

 

That makes sense. It very well could be artifacts that I'm seeing.

Those books had some pretty rough factory cuts back in 1968.

Jokes aside, this book is one of my grails. As a kid I thought this was as 'key' as key books got. Always loved the cover. I was talking with John Dolmayan at Wondercon a few years ago about how cool and elusive the 9.8 in this book was...now THIS treasure surfaces!

9.8 (ie the one currently being auctioned off on CL) is what I'm hunting... don't care much for any of the SA 9.9s

 

You can always CPR it and hope for a 9.8! :wishluck:
