The penguin has always been one of my favourite batman villains. I think because my first introduction to him was watching Batman Returns and I loved Danny Devito's portrayal.

Edit: Yes, I am so young that Batman Returns was my introduction...

When I was a kid, Saturday afternoons where meant for the neighborhood

movie theatre and I remember that the very first serial I ever saw was at a

theatre in Richardson Park, Delaware sometime late 1942 or early 1943...

the serial was "PERILS OF NYOKA".

I saw a re-released version (1952) with the title changed to "Nyoka and the Tigermen".

The film featured three favorite male stars. One was Charles Middleton, aka Ming, and another was William Benedict who played Whitey in the Bowery Boys movies. Does anyone remember the third?

In going through my collection, I realized I had almost forgotten how

popular "Li"l Abner" was during the '40's and '50's.

Always enjoyed having these two comics...the cigar store that I bought

these from never had any further issues...and never saw them on the newsstand.
