Wow, that's a great copy Marty. Many (most?) of that print run has really washed out red colours, but yours is nice.

 

Can I have it? Please? (Kidding, of course, though it would go to a good home. )

Not just you, Marty. A lot of books get posted in various threads that I haven't seen before or haven't thought about in years and it starts me doing a search to see if I can locate a copy. Keeps me from staying focused on my main interests.

I always enjoy going through my collection and finding little gems that I

had forgotten long ago...like in this OSCAR #25 from Summer 1947 a

WOLVERTON "Salesman Sid" and a KURTZMAN "Hey Look" plus a

totally out of registration contents page crediting STAN LEE as Managing

Editor and Director of Art.

I remember picking up a used copy of that one as a kid. I thought, "Wow a comic published in 1946" not realizing how many times Classics were reprinted. Of course, it may actually have been an original issue.

I've had this since 1943, I know it's pretty beat up after all these years of reading

and being packed and unpacked and packed again...but I still think it's a fantastic

cover with terrific content.
