Whenever Tim has been at ECCC (he skipped this year), I try and make a stop at his table. He's old school as an artist and I usually stare in awe watching him use a brush and ink. His prices for sketches are very reasonable (if not cheap) and I was fortunate to add a couple to my collection. He's definitely under appreciated and I'm glad to see this thread (and his work).

great line work and at first blush I really like it too but a couple things bother me

 

- why aren't his arms hanging straight down? they should be

 

- why is that woman able to pick that guy up so easily? Vampire strength I suppose?

 

- even if she has great strength the weight load looks off center to me.

 

 

Silly points I guess, but for some reason they kind of stick out for me on this one

i would guess his arms don't hang straight down because his shoulders weren't dislocated prior to him being lifted.

 

unless i am the only person who can't extend his arms straight back and then ratchet them all the way up until my hands are by my head. which is always a possibility i suppose.

....I was thinking the same thing.

 

Chest and shoulder muscles wont allow for such. Unless you're one seriously limber individual!
