Just watched the Heritage Auction online - TTA#27 cgc 7.5 went for almost $15K (incl. BP)??!!

 

I guess with the announcement of the movie, this is a book that is going to be hoarded for the next 18 months. Prior to SDCC, price for a cgc 7.5 was half of what it went for today.

 

Yikes ! Doesn't take much to get a book on a speculator's list.

With the numerous pre Marvel tears on the right and very slight chipping, as well as lots of spine nicks, I very much this could get an 8.0 under normal circumstances.

 

I also believe it's the movie hype starting to work its magic

Another CGC8.0 sale recently was for $6,750. The 7.5 at that price makes no sense to me and was the shock of the auction, at least for me. It would have to be pressed into a 9.0/9.2 to justify that price.

Of course, i'm biased (having one ) but I do think that's one of those keys that can definitely fluctuate. You had one nice copy, not too many come up....and only takes two guys/gals that want it!
