Is Magneto's British accent equally distracting?

He's not playing an American in the movie

So no.

Ah, right, I get it.

German with British accent (thumbs u

American with British accent :pullhair:

Magneto is German?

I believe he was of German Jewish descent according to his comic origin.

I haven't read a new x-book in over 14 years. Interesting though, thank you.

Its not a big deal, but I did notice it.

If you met an American who grew up in America, went to college in England, then spent the better part of his life in America, wouldn't you notice that he has an English accent?

As for Magneto, he was on the run and hiding his identity, it would make sense that he would learn British English I would think.

Anna Paquin's Rogue Will Appear In X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Other Cameos Planned

According to those wacky cats at BuzzFeed, Rogue is back in. When the site spotted her in the credits for the new film in yesterday's trailer, they poked around at Fox and confirmed Anna Paquin's return. Rogue fans will have to be satisfied that her role is "essentially, a cameo." So that probably means she doesn't do all the flying and super-strength stuff from the comics. Bummer, comic fans. There's a real shortage of comic characters on film who fly and have super strength.

Rogue was never actually out. Her scene in which she has dialogue and real interaction was cut but she will still be there in the background.

I hate that all these news resources never got that part right.

They did seem to write her off quite quickly, didn't they?

So, no new run-up of Avengers Annual #10?

(:

Did you sell it already?

If you sold it, then yes. If not, then no. That's the luck of comic selling speculation sometimes.

More From Simon Kinberg On Anna Paquin's Role As 'Rogue' In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

They are definitely keeping Singer out of these articles.

As for whether or not Rogue's inclusion was a way of making up for her being "cured" of her mutant powers in X-Men: The Last Stand, Kinberg added: "No, I have plenty of residual guilt from The Last Stand and this movie in many ways was like my chance to tell a better X-Men story. Though I’m very proud of what we did with X-Men: First Class but the two biggest stories for me growing up were Dark Phoenix and Days of Future Past. Those were the ones that I loved, so what I wanted to do with Dark Phoenix is different [than] what the movie ended up being. That’s a whole other interview and conversation, but on this one we had a lot more creative freedom and more encouragement to be loyal to the original books. At any rate, it wasn’t that." Finally, the writer was then quizzed about his original vision for "Dark Pheonix", revealing again that it could and should have been a much different movie. "It was just much more the Dark Phoenix story. What happened when we were developing X3 was it began as the Dark Phoenix story and then it evolved into combining also the cure plot. At a certain point in the development process or pre-production process, the cure plot took precedence over the Dark Phoenix plot. So what should have been Dark Phoenix A story, cure plot B story started to invert, I think partly because the other actors like Ian and Patrick were more related to that other story."

Bryan Singer Responds To Abuse Claims And Bows Out of X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Events

"The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious and completely false," says Bryan Singer (via Variety). "I do not want these fictitious claims to divert ANY attention from X-Men: Days of Future Past. This fantastic film is a labor of love and one of the greatest experiences of my career. So, out of respect to all of the extraordinary contributions from the incredibly talented actors and crew involved, I've decided not to participate in the upcoming media events for the film.

Days of Future Past must fill these 7 plotholes!

6.) Wolverine's Claws

I suppose you couldn't properly label this as a plot hole quite just yet. In The Wolverine, Logan has the adamantium removed from his skeleton, which leaves him with just bone claws. But we can see clearly from posters and trailers of Days of Futures Past, Logan has his metal back. We can imagine Magneto has something to do with this...but where did he get the Adamantium from? And would Logan want to go through the painful process of having it spread all through his bones once more? I'm sure he could handle it, but still. This is something the film cannot ignore, so we just have to wait.

Heh -

"NO PURCHASE NECESSARY . A purchase does not improve your odds of winning" - I hit the Enter button, and it asks me for the promo code from the bottom of a Hardee's cup.

How will I get that code if I don't buy a drink, i.e., make a purchase? Nowhere on that page does it tell me how I can get a code for free.
