Wizard has a floorplan map (zoom function is on the right) up on its site. According to it, comics are in the upstairs hall and AA is downstairs with the celebrities

Logistically it would make more sense to have the comics and retailers on the first floor. Though it's easier to hide them on the second.

There's only one escalator that I'm familiar with When you walk into the main lobby of the con (through the glass doors off River Rd), to your right, in the middle of the lobby, is an escalator that goes up. At the top there's another hall (Hall D) straight ahead

They may have had panel discussions in there, not sure. I know in previous years they had it rented out for other non-comic events
