To everyone who contributed to this thread:

 

Sharon (skypinkblu) is currently under siege by Hurricane Sandy, surrounded by downed trees, utility poles and wires. She's had electricity off and on during the day.

She just got a call from Mike Forrester's (flatrock02) wife that he passed away on Friday, October 26. Mike was a great guy -- he will be missed here. There may be another fundraising thread when Hurricane Sandy calms down.

What an awful shame. I had many PM conversations with Mike and even though we've never met I considered him a friend. Rest in peace Mike.

Sad news indeed. I had the chance to meet Mike at several Chicago-con in addition to the many books I've bought from him off the boards. Mike is the kind of guy who would call you whenever he found a book you were looking for and would never let on his own personal struggles. Very sad to hear he's gone
