While the majority of filming is complete, the first photos of Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova on the set of Fox's X-Men: Origins followup, The Wolverine, have surfaced online via HughJackMania. After Total Recall actress Jessica Biel had to turn down the role, Khodchenkova's inclusion in the Hugh Jackman-starrer had yet to be confirmed. But thanks to a heads up via StarkIndistries.Ru, the actress is now seen sporting her ‘Viper’ garb, surrounded by armed apparent villains, at an unknown filming location.

Funeral in Buddhist temple? Ugh. I can only surmise how bad the amalgam of stories they are throwing together for this film. Viper attempting to assassinate Mariko before her wedding, Wolverine and Shingen facing off, Yukio fighting Silver Samurai - all while trying to set up all the characters for a meaningful story.

The way these guys butcher classic stories, it's a total toss up - is it Shingen's funeral? Mariko's? Silver Samurai's?

I remain cautiously optimistic, but stand at the ready with my $20 ticket fee.

That's not how Madame Hydra should look.

I hate to be *that guy* who nitpicks comic movies to death, but WTF? They can't find a Eastern bloc long-legged Czechoslovakian brunette no name actress that hadn't done porn yet to be Madam Hydra?!?

This girl looks like the pasty-skinned sickly twin of the fat girl from Mad Men.
