AF15 - guess grade before CGC

I would say that technically speaking - "no cut outs or missing pieces" should cover trimming - since that is cutting off part of the comic.

I wouldnt be surprised if it was trimmed, but really hope not....should hear back from CGC early this week.

I didn't think that was a U9, but a 49. Maybe the distributor put it on the rack April 9th? Maybe someone sold it at a garage sale for 49 cents?

 

I like 3.5, like most of the crew.

U9 is probably some cold war era spy code left for someone at a particular newstand. which would make the comic even more valuable.

and the code was written in tiny print on the very edge of the cover, which was removed by the government to keep it from falling into soviet hands.

So it would be unAmerican for CGC to give me a PLoD.

OF COURSE they don't. There would be no reason for re-submissions if they did!

They are like a Judge in a court. May depend on how they are feeling that particular day.

Funny how the trim sorta jumps out now that I know that. Sure the edge still has problems, but I'm guessing it once looked much like the top edge.

 

Still, I would physically push people out of the way (and I can push hard ). roaring like a maniac until everyone scatters, then walk up and buy it. I'm sure the guy behind the counter would understand and wouldn't bat an eyelash.

everytime you think youve gotten a great deal, its always tinted purple.

it sounds like its time to just fine a dealer or a site you can trust ..instead of trying to find "deals" and having to get refunds or returns ..i know this was a lesson I learned in my early days of buying ..

true...but hunting for deals is half the fun. just buying slabbed comics would mean the search would end really quick.
