Now, anyone can submit to CGC — no paid membership required — and Associate, Premium and Elite members get lower prices on grading and comic book pressing!

When did Vintage grading move from $37 to $40? ¬¬

Admitedly I haven’t sent any Vintage subs recently.

Jim Lee signing:

Received: 10/31/23

Books signed: 11/28/23

Two of my other submissions have been returned; this one has never moved out of SFG. I wanted to give this some time as remarked books have been trickling out with a number of them shipped out last week. Reached out to CS this morning to check on it.

First email to CS sent: 1/29/24 8AM

Given how many books CGC has lost recently I am officially nervous.

One thing that I have noticed is that my package of 16 books went into SFG, the Friday before the drop in prices for grading was announced. Did anyone else notice the same thing and then our books have been sitting in SFG for 1.5 weeks.

I love it when I pay a premium for UV books and they still aren’t graded yet.  It’s great.

I would guess they have probably been graded by now. Sometimes there are delays with the encapsulation process.

The reason I am making this guess is because when they have moved books into a higher tier in my orders is it pretty much always very shortly after G/E/I. If the premium has been assessed and you have been billed for it the grading must have been done. The books are graded at that point but not encapsulated, and we cant see the results until they are shipped.

Yeah, you’re probably right.  I was billed last week.  So, it’s a little irritating that the encapsulation/QC process is taking this long.

Definitely annoying.

If you were billed last week, and the amount of the bill depends on the grades of the comics, they have definitely been graded. Fingers crossed that you did well and got some awesome grades :)

Hopefully.  Although, I am a bit puzzled.  The amount charged was less than the amount my submission list stated.  So, I’m wondering why.

The grade was so bad they felt bad charging you the full amount.

That's funny.... I was just wondering about this today.  I shipped an Unlimited Value submission this morning and struggled with a declared value.  What if I overestimate and they charge me too much?

Is it possible you had membership credit that hadn’t yet been applied? That just happened to me.
