A little off-topic here, but something interesting that I just noticed on the pricing/turnaround time on CGC's site...

 

The price for Standard submissions has gone down to $37 instead of the old $60 price. So now the change to the $150 credit (instead of the 4-free standard submissions coupon) for your paid membership makes it worth it again. Its the same value-of-service for your submission essentially.

You are quoting the magazine price and not the comic price. It's still $60

It depends on the day they get into the system. The books aren't "received" at the show. it takes a while to get into the system from a con drop-off. Also, there's some weird alchemy. Things aren't purely FIFO.

Alchemy is oddly appropriate for how CGC seems to do their inventorying system. It's not FIFO or LIFO or really any recognized system for figuring out when things get in or out. It's more like an "I don't feel like doing this whole big stack so I'll do these 3 little stacks instead" system

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but my economy slow track seems to be moving at a snails pace. The modern slow track received at the same time is already in my hands. Seems like modern books are moving faster overall...
