It seems as if it's cooled a bit in recent years, but it's been a pretty solid collectible for decades.

It's also on the uncertainty cusp of Age, as it came out in 1982.

I'll take all the copies I can find. The popular cover sells the book. Doesn't hurt if I tell people it's Wolverine's first appearance

When do you consdier the Copper Age to have started? I place it in the mid 1980s, not spring of 82.

It counts as Bronze (1970-84) and is obviously key--arguably started the Wolverine craze.

 

Yes--wildly over-printed and every collection has one (it's still the most CGC'd book of all time, w/ 6,976 slabbed copies), but definitely key.

It's not Bronze, IMO. 1984 is too late for Bronze. (Though I do believe this is a matter of opinion and not subject to an exact science).

 

But yeah, definitely key, if not for just the cover!

I use Star Wars #1 as the start of the Copper Age now, so this book falls in that range for me personally.
