wish I'd taken part in this.

If i went with the daredevil #21 I bought for cover

and having easy access to Nowhere Men #1 Thought Bubble variant

at £4.99 each helped (sadly sold out now).

A healthy £250 in paypal & a CGC 1.8 restored Justice League of America #1

(Thanks Comicopolis!) are where I'm at.

Possibly hitting the trigger on a 9.6 Joker #1 after another beer

if we had, say, monthly updates of the standings that would add a little spark (maybe).

I think it's the whole "sending in proof of purchase" thing that's slowing it all down.

hm

There have been monthly updates. We've been doing this for a month, you've got one update. (shrug)

It was updated at the end of january

Official Rankings

Rankings only include those who have sold their first two books.

Rankings are based on cash left in the bank. They do not factor in number of books sold, profit, etc.

The original purchase price is not factored into the amount paid or the current amount in the bank. I consider the initial $8 investment as a freebie for joining the contest.

Official Rankings for January 2013

1. THB ($328.98)

2. krighton ($169.76)

3. nismo350z ($154.75)

4. jjoseph7772 ($118.08)

5. Branget ($75.13)

6. mlydnes ($39.88)

7. Harry Rod ($18.89)

8. Flying Donut ($18.00)

9. manetteska ($3.06)

Interesting Tidbits

Most books purchased: 55

Most books sold: 25

Highest priced book purchased: $12.99

Highest priced book sold: $69.99

Best sale of initial two books: $39.88

Lowest sale of initial two books: $11.00

Multiple boardies have sold every book purchased.

One boardie has more than 30 books unsold.

i'm having a hard time getting up the energy for this...I've kind of stalled, much like this thread.

This was always going to happen.

I, like most of you - most - work so during the evening (family time) I want to flip real books, not imaginary ones, and certainly don't want to examine every cent for a no-prize competition.

Great idea, wonderful effort by the 2 guys but always doomed to fail really for a heap of reasons.

Not being harsh, the thread speaks for itself.

Again guys thanks alot - not having a go at you in anyway shape or form. (thumbs u
