Yeah, I get the impression this contest will peter out well before the end of the year. It's not that people aren't buying/selling, it's that noting what you've sold or bought is a bit of a burden sometimes.

 

Hell, I'm just keeping score and it's hard for me to keep up. (shrug)

I haven't maximized my bookkeeping. I just pick an easy transaction as I'm going along. Initially I was hoping for 6 figures. I was able to get some onsite done and may actually be 1st to market on books next week. :whee:

Hey people. Just stopping by to apologise for my disappearing on you all and the challenge, I've sent Reno a PM outlining what's been going on over this way for the past couple of months, but basically life got in the way and I had no time to even get on the boards let alone stay on top of this.

 

Apologies once again, but I will over the coming months try to devise an uber spreadsheet that will make this type of thing a lot simpler and less time consuming for everybody should it happen again.

I hadn't forgot about you all, I just didn't have the time spare unfortunately.

I was thinking about Free Comic Book Day. The rules state that everyone gets one free comic book day comic. However, maybe we can use the rankings and everyone over a price point gets just the one, but everyone under it gets to "buy" and sell multiple copies?

 

Or maybe everyone has to choose one free comic to pick up but no one can pick up the same issue? We could go in reverse rank order for the picks?

 

Or maybe we just don't deal with free comic book day comics?

I want to play. I only started buying to sell at the beginning of February and didn't even know about this, so I definitely didn't follow the rules. I'm about +$900 counting the 150-200 comics that are sitting in a box or even unpacked waiting to be listed.

 

Edit: Counting the 150-200 comics are all $0. I took it out of my profit already on my Excel sheets.
