The Sixth Gun 1-28: I just re-read the entire series. It's a western with supernatural elements. I love this series and have been reading it for awhile now. Highly recommended! (thumbs u

Marvel Universe vs The Avengers 1-4: This was a fun read. It's an elseworlds type story with a zombie outbreak taking place in the Marvel Universe. The writer has written some great zombie novels like the Rot & Ruin series. Fun series. (thumbs u

Point of Impact: I gave this mini-series a try because it was written by the Dynamo 5 writer(I loved Dynamo 5). This was very good, but not OMG you gotta go read this. It's a murder mystery that's very straight forward. If you see it in a discount box it's worth reading.

January reads:

Bedlam 1-3

Crossed Badlands 1

Dynamo 5 #'s 0-25

Dynamo 5 Annual

Dynamo 4 Sins of the Father 1-5

Dynamo 5 Holiday Special

Invincible 99, 100

Locke & Key Omega 1-2

Marvel Universe vs. The Avengers 1-4

Peter Panzerfaust 1-8

Point of Impact 1-4

SAGA 1-8

Sixth Gun 1-28

Storm Dogs 1,2

Thor 385

Walking Dead 106

Wolverine Origins 21-25

The Spirit #11-12... Still entertaining.

American Vampire #22-23... New story arc begins. I was worried if this comic would begin to peter out but I am liking this new character Travis, its 1950s America and Travis is like a Vampire hunting Elvis. And just when you thought Skinner Sweet was in the back ground and forgotten about, he turns up in an excellent comic panel ending issue 23. Still loving what Scott Snyder is doing with this title. Between American Vampire, Batman & Talon, he has emerged as my favourite writing talent this last year.

This brings my grand total to 36!

I've been reading a lot of novels though so that's my excuse...

American Vampire #24-27... Just an excellent read. I like how Snyder is coming up with these short story arcs, introduces new characters, focuses back on original ones. It just keeps the title fresh and interesting as well pushing along the time line so we're now in the 1950s. For anyone who hasn't read this title, get the trades. Forget Zombies, Vampires is where its at!

Chew #21-22... Major League Chew begins... this title is still quirky, funny and sharp. I love the characters, the art and the interaction.

The Defenders #1-12. Matt Fraction nearly pulls off making this book an excellent read but sort of loses the plot at the end. Still a massive improvement of the previous modern versions on the team - plus a rare Marvelman sighting in the Marvel universe.

Can a newbie like me (who reads about half of the comics in the German translation) join the club? I just reconstructed what I've read in the first weeks of this year.

Yes - go for it.

Astonishing #47. Post code Atlas horror that turned to fantasy can be a bit "eh," but this one at least has stories by Bill Everett and Bernie Krigstein.

Thor #175. Nearing the end of Kirby's run.

Jann of the Jungle #17. Everett cover with lots of great art inside by Al Williamson, Syd Shores and Don Heck.

Total: 18.

Chew #23-25 Satisfying end to another enjoyable story arc.

Dark Matter #1-2 Enjoyable Sci-Fi yarn which reminds me alot of a particular Star Trek TNG episode. A group of mercs wake up on a ship with no memory of who they are or what they're supposed to be doing. They find out eventually though. Looking forward to reading more.
